With all returns you must phone or email a request to return a product, please give details of the item(s) and reason for it's return plus invoice number .  For most Christchurch customers the item will be collected saving you the hassel of packaging it for a courier.

Damaged goods

If your item has been freight damaged please do not sign for its delivery and notify us within 1 working day.  This is important because most freight companies have a very limited time that claims can be made.  Also we want to make amends quickly.

Item(s) not suitable

Most items can be returned within 14 days when returned in a saleable condition and complete with all parts and packaging.  A partial credit may be issued at the discretion of The Office Specialists Ltd if this condition is not met.

Exceptions to 14 day return period include but are not limited to the following:

  • Opened toner and ink cartridges, a partial credit may be possible on popular items.  Please check you have the right cartridge before you open it.
  • The Olympus Dictation Delivery Service annual license for the Olympus Smartphone app cannot be credited once ordered, however you can transfer it to some one else in your company.  There is a 30 day trial available if you are unsure.
  • Custom made furniture including chairs upholstered to order.
  • Printing.
  • Specially ordered items, including but not limited to items manufactured to order.

Freight can only be credited if the return is a result of a mistake made by The Office Specialists Ltd or its supplier.
When returning items by courier please package the goods carefully (with sufficient protection).
For non faulty returns please do not mark the original packaging as this would make the product unsaleable.

Faulty Goods

Manufactuers warranties and guarantees apply.  A loan product, if available, may be offered while your item is repaired or replaced.
